Development Leader at Gryning
Gryning is owned by municipalities and driven by engagement! For over 20 years, Gryning has offered HVB and open care for children, youth, and families, emergency and foster homes, addiction care, supported living apartments, interventions against honor-related violence and oppression, as well as LSS housing. We provide counseling and training and assist with placements. Gryning is owned by the municipalities in Västra Götaland through the four municipal associations.
We are now looking for a development leader tasked with leading and coordinating the company's work with IT and digital development. The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date according to agreement, based at the company's headquarters in Gothenburg and is part of the Development function, which is one of three support functions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assignment
The role of development leader is partially new and primarily involves being responsible for the management and development of the company's IT environment, leading and coordinating the company's work for increased digitalization, and being responsible for the company's work with information security. There are good opportunities to shape the role within the specified frameworks.
The work will be based on an annual development plan within the IT and digitalization area. You will implement, follow up, and report on initiatives and measures. You will prepare budget proposals and be responsible for monitoring costs related to the area. You will be the main contact with the company's IT supplier. You will also be responsible for contract monitoring and any procurements in the area.
The assignment includes having an overview of all the company's systems to ensure coordination and efficient management, among other things through appropriate system management and support for system owners.
You will provide support, frameworks, and conditions to the operations within the IT area and design support measures based on needs to increase competence and efficiency in IT usage.
You will initiate, investigate, and anchor development initiatives within the digitalization area, as well as process lead these to implementation. You will collaborate with both other support functions and operations to explore needs and design development initiatives.
You will lead and coordinate the company's groups for IT, digital development, and system management, be the convener, responsible for the agenda, and ensure the implementation and follow-up of decided measures.
The assignment also includes designing, anchoring, and continuously updating governing documents within the entire area of responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree in digitalization, computer science, or equivalent experience deemed equivalent.
You have experience working with an organization's entire IT environment, from infrastructure and hardware to system management and coordination. You have knowledge of regulations regarding data protection (GDPR) and information security. You have experience leading digital development projects and a good understanding of digital processes, tools, and methods, as well as knowledge of AI technology and its application possibilities.
You have experience working in a support function and can easily navigate the various roles it may involve; for example, leading, supporting, coordinating, and following up.
You are structured and self-driven, take initiative, and have the ability to lead a process all the way to completion. You find it easy to collaborate with others and create trusting relationships around you. You can both persuade and listen, and you have the ability to inspire and spark interest in digital development.
You express yourself well in both speech and writing and can pedagogically explain different perspectives. You have administrative skills and a good ability to structure work and processes.
A valid driver's license is required.

About Gryning
The Development function consists of eight people; a development manager, six development leaders (including the advertised position), and a communicator.
At the company office, there is company management and support functions for development, HR, and finance. In total, we are about 15 people. The work mainly takes place from the company office but involves some day trips in the region, often using the company's car. There is an opportunity for remote work about one day a week.
